Positioning Assessment – AI visibility audit

The test takes thirty seconds.

  1. 01“Who is the best ⟨your service⟩ in ⟨your town⟩?”
  2. 02“Who should I turn to when ⟨the problem you solve comes up⟩?”
  3. 03“What should I look out for when choosing ⟨your service⟩?”

What comes back is the answer your next customer gets.

Either you’re in it. Or someone whose work you know to be weaker.

And if you’re not in it: you weren’t in it yesterday either. It’s just that nobody told you – a call that never comes leaves no record. So everything carries on as before – and that is the real finding.

We measured ourselves. The result is uncomfortable.

We’re a small consultancy, not a big company – so we’re in the same position as you. For the German search term “jobs to be done-methode”, Oberwasser Consulting ranks at position 1.0 on Google. Last month the page was shown there 44 times. It wasn’t clicked once.

0clicks

Position 1.0. 44 impressions for our core term.

0clicks

11 search terms in the top 10. 546 impressions in total.

2clicks

310 specialist terms. 2,809 impressions.

It’s not the ranking – we’re at the top, after all. The answer now comes before the website.

People who ask get their answer – and no longer click through. That means a good ranking is no longer proof that anyone is reaching you.

Anyone who sells you visibility through rankings is selling you a metric that misses precisely this. So we measure something else: whether you appear in the answer.

What we promise, and what we do not.

No promise of placements

The systems decide that, and their decisions keep changing. What we promise is measurement to a fixed standard – and the way forward that follows from its findings.

No promise of when it takes effect

We have observed anything from minutes to weeks. How to tell when it has taken effect is set out in the report.

No entry without evidence

Without documented third-party recognition, an entry in the knowledge graph would be deleted. We tell you what to do first instead.

No Wikipedia article

Only third parties can create one. But you can influence what makes one more likely.

And if the measurement shows that implementation is not worthwhile for you, we will tell you that too.

The question is not whether, but how far.

Do the maths: what is one contract worth to you – one you win because someone came to you and not to a competitor? If a single contract like that brings in more than €1,900, the measurement has paid for itself. And the money isn’t lost if you go further.

You start where it makes sense for you. Tier 2 includes Tier 1 in full – what you invest in the Positioning Assessment is credited in full. Tier 3 requires Tier 2.

Tier 1

Positioning Assessment

You know where you stand – and what is stopping you from being named.

Book your assessment

You get

  • Your market’s questions, asked across seven answer engines
  • The finding: where you’re named, where you’re not, and who is named instead
  • The gaps, in the order in which to close them
  • A call to go through the report together

For you if you want to know first whether this is worth it at all.

from €5,900

net · the €1,900 is credited

Tier 2

Take your position

The evidence the systems need to recognise you is in place – and the follow-up measurement shows you what has moved.

Book a call about it →

You get

  • Everything in Tier 1
  • Building the documented outside recognition the systems can work with
  • Implementation on your own pages – machine-readable, not just human-readable
  • Follow-up measurement after eight weeks, to the same standard as the first

For you if you want to act on the finding, not just read it.

€590

net per month · minimum term of three months, then cancellable monthly

Tier 3

Hold and extend your position

We measure and hold what has been built – and keep extending it if you want us to.

Let’s talk about it →

You get

  • During the eight-week build phase, a weekly update; after that, a monthly report and a quarterly measurement.
  • Upkeep of what has been built, so it stays in place
  • Extensions are not included in this fee. New topics are added individually – after the measurement, we tell you what a topic would mean for you.

Requires Tier 2. For you if being named is a sales channel rather than a sideline.

What we promise is the measurement. What we do not promise is a placement; the systems decide that.

If the report does not show where you stand, you get your money back, no questions asked.

If implementation is not worthwhile, we tell you.

If you then go on to implementation, we credit the full €1,900.

This price is not a guess.

Before we set the price, we examined the market we work in ourselves – and published the result.

Many firms advertise that the diagnosis is credited towards the implementation. So do we.

But anyone who earns from the implementation has an interest in it being needed – which is why, in other fields, German law prohibits this (Section 8b(4) of the Energy Services Act, EDL-G; Section 55(1), first sentence, of the Public Accountants Act, WPO). Nobody requires it of us.

That is why we tell you when implementation is not worthwhile.
