Workshop and training content

The workshops take place remotely via Zoom and MURAL, and comprise different modules of mostly 2.5 hours each. Each module includes theoretical basics, practical exercises and discussions. The workshops offer participants a balanced mix of theory and practice to gain a deep understanding of Jobs to Be Done and apply what they learn directly to their own business.

In addition, all participants have access to the contents of the “The Wheel of Progress®” Innovation Framework and can use all templates to implement their own remote JTBD projects with MURAL. This allows you to apply what you have learned directly in your company and develop innovative products and services based on the needs of your customers. Katharina Weigert

Katharina Weigert is an emerging professional and trainer in the field of Jobs to Be Done (JTBD). Originally from an academic background, she has worked extensively with the JTBD Innovation Framework and put it into practice. Her journey began as a dedicated student who became aware of the issue through Peter Rochel’s podcast. Today, she is the founder of The Outstanding Musician, a start-up that uses the principles of JTBD to create innovative solutions in the music sector.

Katharina has already conducted numerous trainings and online formats together with Rochel in her career to date and works as a moderator, trainer and facilitator. With a keen sense of the practical application of JTBD theories, coupled with her academic depth, she offers a unique insight into the method.

Her open and welcoming personality makes her not only an excellent trainer, but also a valuable contact person for anyone who wants to deal with JTBD in a scientific or practical way. It places particular emphasis on ensuring that access to knowledge about JTBD is open to all, regardless of professional background or level of education. Jan Milz

Jan Milz is a respected Jobs to Be Done (JTBD) professional who has been using the method in his professional career since 2013. As a mentee of Bob Moesta, one of the pioneers of JTBD theory, he has extensive insider knowledge and practical experience. As a Product Manager he has led numerous software teams through the process of MVP (Minimum Viable Product) development.

Previously, he worked as a product owner at XING AG, where he was instrumental in shaping the company’s mobile strategy and leading the development of long-term product strategies. With his expertise in customer research and prototyping, Jan has helped both start-ups and established companies to better tailor their products and services to the needs of their customers.

Jan is also co-founder of Sixgroups.com and Sohomint, where he developed innovative online community experiences and SEO projects. He is a graduate of the University of Hamburg in the field of online communities.

Besides his work as a product manager and consultant, Jan is an active participant in the JTBD community and shares his knowledge and experience in workshops, trainings and conferences.

With his versatile expertise, Jan Milz is an invaluable expert for all those who want to develop further in the field of JTBD.

Peter Rochel

Peter has been dealing with the Jobs to Be Done theory since 2006 and has developed a unique JTBD Research & Innovation framework over the years. With experience spanning over 700 companies in different sectors, he has conducted extensive research on Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD). His expertise extends to not only developing innovative products but also guiding companies through the entire process. He has provided unwavering support to organizations to help them conduct JTBD research to enhance and revolutionize their offerings, services and overall business strategies.

As one of the most experienced JTBD practitioners and trainers in the German-speaking world, Peter accompanies startups, founders, family businesses, large corporations. Founders, CEO’s, top managers, experienced UX’ers and researchers who want to successfully implement JTBD theory are also among his customers. With his in-depth understanding of Jobs to Be Done theory and business model strategy, he is able to solve complex challenges while focussing on the needs and wishes of customers.

Since 2017, Peter Rochel has been openly sharing his knowledge in meetups, podcasts, workshops and trainings. He not only imparts theoretical knowledge, but also implements this in the practice of his own companies. With his innovative and interactive way of working, he supports companies in understanding the needs of their customers and developing new products and services based on them.
